Road registered 4″ Burrell Agi with new steam cert. Now sold.

We have for sale on behalf of a current customer a lovely looking, well finished, road registered and well proven STW 4″ Burrell Single Cylinder Agricultural Engine.
Ready to rally for the 2023 season as a 10 year hydraulic test was completed in 2022, with the annual inspection valid until 1/1/2024.
The engine is in good mechanical condition and boiler treatment has always been used when steaming. It’s been seen out regularly over the years on the rally fields, mainly in Dorset and Somerset plus various local fetes and events and some personal road runs around Templecombe.
Only for sale as the customer is reaching the final stages of a DCC build.

4″ Scale Award Winning Double Crank Compound STW Showmans For Sale. (Sorry no longer available)

Available for sale is one of the nicest 4″ Showmans we have seen. Stunning looking and runs as sweet as a nut.

Built 2009 – 2013.
Beautifully presented.
Been rallied for 7 seasons including 3 times at GDSF.
Twice best in show including Abbey Hill.
Road Registered.

Twin working dynamo’s, 4 chime whistle, vescanite front wheel bearings (no lube reqd, keep the wheels clean!), twin seat with toolbox, extra brass and copper bits, firing irons, tube brush, some spares, build manual, dust cover. Original 1900’s oil lamps converted to run off the dynamo.

Southern Fed tested by the same person since new.
Steam test until 21/04/2023.
Hydraulic test until 01/04/2024.
Boiler treatment been used since day one.
Comes with all its relevant paperwork.
Price includes a small collapsible trailer, ideal for carrying coal, water, tools etc.

We have available TWO complete, unbuilt sets of kits for 2″ scale Driving Wagons.

These are from a previously made batch and do not have the upgraded ‘new’ vulcanised tyres. They are supplied with the ‘stick on’ tyres that we used to supply. Other than that they are identical to what we make now in every way.

Normal price for the current batch is £1495 each plus delivery. These are available as a single delivery at £1250 each plus delivery saving £245 per wagon and a 3 month+ wait.

4″ Scale Showmans Engine. Fully finished and Stunning – Now Sold

Rare opportunity to purchase a TOP END 4″ Scale Showman’s Engine. Fully finished and Stunning. Runs beautifully and definitely one of the better one’s out there.

Built over a 4 year period by an accomplished engineer focusing on attention to detail, this engine has many extras over a standard STW kit. These include detailed generators, steers man seat, tax disc, scale number plates, generator makers plate, brass finishing details on crank and foot pegs, custom leather twin seat, one piece motion covers, canopy has polished wood underneath, lettering on canopy is done with gold leaf, matching oil cans painted to match engine. There is lots more mods that the builder couldn’t remember lol.

Been running now for 2 years so barely run in. Generator etc all working as they should.

Steam ticket renewed this week with also new hydraulic certificate added also.

Comes complete with the manual and a few spares.

Owner only selling to fund a 6″ engine but also has a 4″ Roller he has just finished that he is enjoying.

Located in Edinburgh the owner would personally prefer to show any potential purchaser the engine running etc so they can see how good it is for themselves.

Part Built 2″ Burrell – Now Sold

Sorry this engine has now sold.

For sale is a part built 2″ Burrell. Comes complete with Kits 17 – 24 which have only been opened to check and have not been started. Being sold due to ill health of builder who can no longer continue. Originally purchased in only 2018.

This engine comes with the upgrade option of vulcanised tyres all round.

Build quality looks okay but we think it would benefit all round from a better quality paint finish which gives the purchaser the opportunity of putting their own personal touch to it.

Cost of this engine from STW is £8568 plus vulcanised tyres at £360 so total £8928. This is available at £6000 so a saving of £2928 on list. It can be viewed at the factory in Daventry.
