Due to popular demand, Steam Traction World have launched a great, new practical addition to your 4″ Scale Engine – an 8 Gallon Water Bowser with Seat. The Bowser not only serves as an extra water supply (over 8 gallons) but it pulls the owner taking a huge strain off the axles. Everything is designed for ease of construction with all components delivered in a fully machined condition, ready for painting and final assembly.
The 4″ Water Bowser is available in a choice of two options. Option one customers would receive everything in one go as a single delivery and Option two customers could have it delivered as two kits, spreading the cost.

At a huge 106 inches long, this Foden is 41/2” (larger than 1/3rd) Scale and is a magnificient limited production model which is hugely satisfying to both make and drive. All kits are shipped complete with full instructions and drawings with colour images to guide you step by step through your assembly process. The 41/2” Foden SWB consists of 27 kits.
Two huge Foden’s – a ‘C’ Type and SWB Lorry; 6″ Scale, that’s half size!
The Foden in fully machined kit form, is only available from Steam Traction World, and includes all the individual component parts to produce a working, live steam engine – a LARGE live steam engine. Size-wise the machines are 11.5 feet for the ‘C’ type, almost 8 feet for the SWB and both will weigh in at just over a ton. Both machines have true compound engines, with a working pressure of 170 psi+, a boiler diameter of around 14 inches and with three speed, they certainly are impressive.

These famous engines were manufactured by Charles Burrell and Sons at their St Nicholas Works in Thetford, Norfolk England. Our kits contain every component necessary to complete the Burrell engine. This engine must represent the ultimate in terms of achievement for any builder. Faithful reproductions of the full size engines in miniature. They are all ‘true’ Compound engines which means that steam is first used in a high pressure cylinder and then is re-used in a low pressure cylinder.
